Michael Ventura:
Shareholder. Michael Ventura is the founding member and managing partner of Ventura, Miesowitz, Albano, Keough & Warner, which he established in January of 1981. Mr. Ventura's practice is comprised of diverse areas of Civil Litigation. Mr. Ventura has represented Summit Bank, AT&T, Lucent, and several other corporations in complex commercial litigation. Additionally, he served as House Counsel to United States Fidelity and Guaranty for approximately thirteen years, where he litigated hundreds of insurance defense matters. He also has litigated substantial claims for plaintiffs in various personal injury actions, including a recent award to an infant resulting in a minimum payout of $4,775,000.00.  Mr. Ventura has had extensive experience in the Chancery Division handling complex Estate Litigation such as Will Contests and Formal Accountings, as well as substantial Matrimonial Actions. In addition to his litigation experience, Mr. Ventura has represented numerous corporate clients in the capacity of corporate counsel in managing litigation by outside counsel.

Mr. Ventura is a graduate of Boston College (B.A. 1974) and Seton Hall University School of Law (J.D. 1978). He successfully completed terms as a Trustee for the Union County Bar Association and the District Ethics Committee of Union County, and the Union County Judicial and Prosecutor Selection Committee. He is a founder and a Vice Chairman of the Save a Life Today Foundation, and currently, he sits on the Professional Advisory Board of the Fleet Bank and the Red Oak Bank. He is a member as well as a former President of the Summit Bar Association and a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, Union County Bar Association and the American Trial Lawyers Association (ATLA).  At the 2004 ATLA Convention in Boston, Massachusetts, Mr. Ventura was honored as a volunteer of Trial Lawyers Care, the largest and most successful pro bono legal representation program ever undertaken. Through this program, Mr. Ventura represented victims of the September 11, 2001 terrorists attacks by assisting them with claims before the federal Victim Compensation Fund.

John J. Miesowitz:
Shareholder. "Jack" Miesowitz is former Chair of the New Jersey State Bar Association Taxation section, where he twice served as a Chair of its Transfer Taxes Committee and is currently a member of the Executive Council. He is the long-time Co-Moderator of the Institute of Continuing Legal Education Semi-Annual Tax and Estate Planning Forum. He is an author and frequent lecturer to professional and business groups and civic organizations on Estate Planning and Elder Law. Mr. Miesowitz is a Trustee of the Rahway Hospital Foundation, and a member of the Professional Advisors Council of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey as well as the New Jersey Performing Arts Center. He is also a UBS/Paine Webber network attorney.

Mr. Miesowitz graduated from Trinity College and Seton Hall Law School and has an LLM in taxation from New York University. He is a member of the National Association of Elder Law Attorneys, the Union County Bar Association, the Summit Bar Association, and the Real Property, Probate and Trust Law, and the Elder Law Sections of the New Jersey State Bar Association. Mr. Miesowitz specializes in designing estate plans for high net worth individuals. He also practices in the areas of Business Planning, Estate Administration, Elder Law, Corporate and Individual Taxation, Charitable Giving, and Planning for Individuals with Disabilities. Mr. Miesowitz has been published in the New Jersey Law Journal and is a frequent guest on both local and New York radio shows.

Matthew P. Albano:
Shareholder. Mr. Albano has been with the firm since 1991 and represents firm clients in transactional matters including Commercial & Residential Real Estate, Tax, Corporate Law, Commercial Finance, Leasing, Estate Planning, and Estate Administration. The range of clients that he served includes corporations, partnerships, limited liability companies, joint ventures, institutional leaders, real estate developers, and individual entrepreneurs.

Mr. Albano is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame (B.B.A. in Accounting, 1985), Seton Hall University School of Law (J.D. 1988) and New York University School of Law (L.L.M. in Taxation 1989). Mr. Albano is former President of the Summit Bar, a Member of the Union County Bar, the New Jersey State Bar (Tax Section and Real Property, Probate and Trust Section), and the American Bar Association. Mr. Albano also currently serves as a Councilman for the Town of Westfield, is a member of the Westfield Republican Executive Committee where he serves as legal counsel, is a member of several local charitable and educational organizations and is a frequent lecturer on Corporate Law and Tax Matters.

Daniel G. Keough:
Shareholder. Mr. Keough enjoys a statewide reputation as one of the foremost authorities in the area of Real Estate Tax Appeals, having concentrated more than 90% of his law practice for nearly 20 years in this field. He has represented banks, commercial real estate operators, and developers throughout New Jersey in tax appeals, as well as individuals and corporate clients in many other areas of real estate law, including acquisitions, commercial evictions, leasing, and general litigation.

Mr. Keough has litigated tax appeals before every County Board of Taxation in New Jersey, and every Judge who has been an active member of the Tax Court of New Jersey, being counsel of record in a number of published judicial decisions. He also handled tax appeals and other real estate matters before the Appellate Division of the Superior Court of New Jersey and the Supreme Court of New Jersey.

Mr. Keough is a graduate of Georgetown University where he obtained his B.A. in 1979. He obtained his law degree from Seton Hall University School of Law (J.D. 1983), and was admitted to the New Jersey Bar that same year. Mr. Keough is a member of the Union County Bar Association, New Jersey Bar Association, and American Bar Association.

Steven K. Warner:
Shareholder. Mr. Warner's practice encompasses all facets of civil litigation in federal and state court at both the trial and appellate levels. He specializes in complex commercial litigation and zoning and land use law.  Mr. Warner is admitted to practice law in the State and Federal Courts of both New Jersey and New York, as well as the Third Circuit Court of Appeals and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims.

Mr. Warner has litigated substantial matters in the areas of brokerage commission disputes, construction cases, shareholder derivative suits, director and officer liability, partnership liability, landlord/tenant law, restrictive covenants and employee duty of loyalty, tortious interference, business fraud, fraudulent transfers, trademark protection, unfair competition, franchise litigation, lender liability, commercial mortgage foreclosure, Uniform Commercial Code, breach of contract, bankruptcy, conversion, declaratory judgment, insurance, products liability, consumer fraud, real estate, and closely held corporation/oppressed minority shareholder disputes. He also has represented several municipalities and local government agencies and currently serves as the Attorney for the Zoning Board of Adjustment for the Township of Warren.

Mr. Warner is a graduate of Clark University (B.A. cum laude 1985) and Boston University School of Law (J.D. 1988), where he was a Semi-finalist and received the Best Brief Award at a National Moot Court competition. He is a member of the American Bar Association, New Jersey Bar Association, Union County Bar Association and Summit Bar Association. Mr. Warner previously served as a Councilman for the Borough of Metuchen and currently serves as the President of the Warren Township Republican Club and as a Warren Republican Municipal Committeeman. He argued the landmark case of Brennan vs. Orban before the New Jersey Supreme Court (145 NJ 282 (1996)), establishing the parameters for jury trials in marital tort cases, and lectured on the topic at the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education (Winter, 1997).
